1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HearthLink ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HearthLink is a community gallery for sharing Final Fantasy XIV housing designs created with MakePlace and similar tools. The Service allows registered users to upload, browse, and download housing layout files.

3. User Accounts

Accounts are created via Discord OAuth. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your credentials or use another user's account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the designs you upload. By uploading content you grant HearthLink a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display that content to other users of the Service.

Uploads must be valid MakePlace-format JSON files representing housing designs. You must not upload designs that infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

5. Final Fantasy XIV Content

Final Fantasy XIV is a trademark of Square Enix Co., Ltd. HearthLink is an independent community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Square Enix. All game assets remain the property of Square Enix.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl, or systematically download content without permission;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service;
  • use the Service for any commercial purpose without prior written consent.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, without prior notice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime or that the Service will be error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HearthLink and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
